AirSync devices: modified Contact and calendar items may be duplicated |
Turn on the "Delete immediately" option in the Troubleshooting section of the MAPI Connector settings.
|
Outlook 2002: Read Receipts are not sent out immediately |
This is how Outlook 2002 works. Read Receipts are sent out only when you are sending any other message
or when the Send/Receive task is scheduled. Till then, the Receipts are held in your Outlook Outbox queue.
|
Outlook 2002: this message will be sent via. When sending messages, Outlook 2002 does not
show the name of the Account it will use to send them.
|
No workaround needed, it does not affect the functionality. |
Message Recall. This Outlook feature is not available with the MAPI Connector. |
The ability to cancel messages already delivered to accounts is specific to MS Exchange storage
architecture and is not possible with CommuniGate Pro.
|
Interaction with MS Exchange servers. GroupWare data (especially Tasks) sent from with
a MAPI Connector may be not processed correctly by an Outlook connected to
an Exchange 5.0/5.5 server.
|
The MAPI Connector relies on the Internet standard formats for calendaring data (VCALENDAR),
which is not understood by the older versions of Outlook and Exchange servers.
Enable the Send in Outlook native message format option in the Troubleshooting section
of the MAPI Connector settings so the GroupWare data is sent by the Connector in a TNEF container
as well (which is understood by older versions of Outlook and Exchange.)
|
Junk mail filtering. This Outlook 2003 feature does not work with the MAPI Connector. |
This is the known issue.
Microsoft
states that this feature is not supported for accounts that use third-party MAPI providers.
The workaround is to use the Spam Filtering capabilities provided on the server side
(CommuniGate Pro Plugins). Plugins add special message header fields for potential spam messages.
You can configure your server-side Rules to direct all messages with those fields to
the designated Spam folder(s).
|
Outlook 2003: sent messages are not delivered to recipients; copies in the Sent Items lack the From address.
|
This appears to be a problem specific to Outlook 2003:
Microsoft
states that as a known problem. If you experience this problem with other versions of Outlook,
please report that to support@communigate.ru.
|
Events scheduled beyond daylight time switch date may be shown incorrectly for some time zones. |
Time zones which specify the daylight time switch date using a fixed date
(with the BYMONTHDAY parameter) are not handled correctly by the Microsoft MIME code.
The CGPro MAPI Connector tries to work around that problem by moving these switching dates to Sunday
which is the closest to the date set in the time zone specification.
|
Sorting using 'Conversation' in Outlook ignores the selected sorting attribute. |
The MAPI Connector uses the Subject for sorting purposes, as the sorting attribute is passed by Outlook
using undocumented property.
|
Unicode and support for Outlook 98 and Outlook 2000. |
The MAPI Connector starting with version 1.54.3.1 relies on Unicode-savvy MAPI interfaces, for a better user experience with nulti-panguage messages and other objects.
But these interfaces are not properly supported by older versions of Outlook. The latest version of the MAPI Connector that can be safely used with Outlook 98 and Outlook 2000
is 1.54.0.6
